Record a school sports day or performance
Think about how to get across all the parts of the event - the sounds of competitors, the sounds of the crowd etc.
Think about where the best place to stand to record the sounds would be, and whether you want it to sound like you are in the crowd or in the middle of the performance.
You could even plan to record sounds at the same event the next year, then you can compare the recordings and see what is is different or similar.
'Theatre in the scape'
Record your school's theatre production. Think about what it is that is special about the particular show you record.
If you fade in, fade out and pause your recording, you could jump between speeches by different characters, and see how this builds an overall picture of the performance.
