Recently we have been working on a Titanic Mediascape project and it has been very interesting. We use different types of equipment such as PDA's, laptops and GPS. We get to design and edit our own mediascape. A mediascape is where you walk into a certain space and it shows an image or plays a sound. This done by using satellites (GPS). We have been visiting the Northern Ireland Science Park beside the Thompson Dock. We have met new people called Constance, Stewart, Ben, Paul and Stephen. These people are working with us and helping us build our mediascape.

This is very helpful to us because this has enthused us to make our mediascape better. We have made ten parts in our mediascape: Nora O'Leary, John O'Connor, Fr. Gabriel, John Parkinson, Clangs, Ocean, Fog Horn and Facts 1, 2 and 3. We want this Titanic Mediascape project to last longer but unfortunately it ends in June. We have learnt more about the Titanic and improved our ICT skills.

Our first workshop was so exciting for us, we didn't know what we had to do or if there was any other schools there. We went in Mrs Meyer's car. When we got there we went into a room and we sat down on a seat. We met the new people (Constance, Stewart, Ben, Paul and Stephen) and then we were paired up with people from another school, Glengormley High. We learnt how to use all the gadgets and we met new people called Laura, Libby, Aaron and Jamie. It was raining out of the high heavens, we got soaked.

One of the workshops was cancelled so Constance came to us and gave us a PDA. She said that we can keep the PDA until the next workshop. We were very excited about keeping it. The Titanic is massive. We didn't even think that the Thompson dock was so big. We think that this experience will stay with us forever.
