1. My Computer

If you know what part of your computer the file you are looking for might be in, you can browse to this area by going through the My Computer folder.

2. Other common file locations

Often files are saved in the folder My Documents or on the Desktop.

3. Searching for files

If you don't know where it might be, you can search for the file.

From the Start menu on the Taskbar of your desktop, go to Search,

Then click on For Files or Folders.

You can then type in the name (or just a word in the name) of the file you are looking for
